Chime - Franny Billingsley I found this book to be confusing, especially at first, and I suspect many younger teens in particular would too. Eventually I realized that was the point - the little hints here and there show that Briony is confused and an unreliable narrator. Once that was realized, it made me want to read to the end, but it didn't really lessen the confusion. I guess I just like things laid out more clearly, and so this isn't the type of book for me. It was well-done, though, how it all came together. Good for readers who liked Going Bovine, stylistically.
