Listening to this on audio was a little painful because so much of the book is desperate and sad. The very last disc was much appreciated. The premise of a book from a dog's perspective is great, and Enzo had some funny thoughts. Occasionally, it felt like the author was using Enzo to tell the readers some of his deep thoughts about the world, though, without it really having a lot of context in the story. Overall, I liked how different this book was, and it made me feel hopeful. It'd be a good book for someone going through a hard time and looking for the strength to persevere.
