Interesting to read this right after "Across the Universe" since they both deal with future societies in which everyone is being controlled by authority figures for their own good (supposedly). This one is more of a love story, and good for either middle schoolers or high schoolers. It makes you appreciate our freedom to create and learn. I wished to understand more about why the Society was this way, but I think that may have been a deliberate author's choice to keep us in the dark. Love the cover.
