Annexed - Sharon Dogar I would suggest this to any teen looking for a Holocaust story. It's easy to relate to Peter's swinging emotions as he's in the annex, and his feelings for Anne are sweet and complicated, though would possibly be a turnoff for some male readers? The majority of the book takes place in the annex, with snippets from a concentration camp interspersed, so the main feeling throughout is of foreboding and boredom. I haven't read Anne Frank's diary since middle school, so there were times I wished I could remember how Annexed portrayed actual events, but it still is a good read without that knowledge.
