This is hard for me to review, as I haven't read an adult historical fiction novel in ages. I enjoyed the story, despite feeling a growing dread, and learned a lot about Hemingway and Paris during that time. McLain did a good job interpreting what someone like Hadley may have been thinking through the stages of her marriage, and suggesting the complexities of a person who may just have seemed weak to some. It makes me want to read "A Moveable Feast" next.
