Anna and the French Kiss - Stephanie Perkins I loved this kind of book as a teen - school, friendship, love, etc. - but this one has the added bonus of a Paris setting. The frustration of love not realized kept the story moving (though as an adult you kind of want to bang your head at times). It was fun and romantic. And somewhat coming-of-age. A few flaws though: I never felt very close to Anna. She was likeable, and we learn interesting things about her, but she still felt somewhat superficial. Her interest in movies seemed like a sidenote - I never really believed in her passion. And if I had done the cover, I would've cropped the girl's face out too.
